R. Kelly's Ex-Assistant Testifies At Trial Singer Had Set Of 'Rob's Rules' To Keep 'Really Young' Looking Girlfriends Secret

R. Kelly’s former assistant offered explosive testimony on the “Trapped in the Closet” crooner’s final day of opening week in his criminal trial.

Anthony Navarro — who worked for accused sex offender from 2007 to 2009 — compared his employment with the “Bump n’ Grind” rapper to “almost like the Twilight Zone.”

“The things you had to do was just a bit uncomfortable,” he testified on Friday, August 20. “You went into the gate and it was like a different world, just a strange place,” referring to R. Kelly’s home.

He said the 54-year-old singer used a list of “Rob’s Rules” to control his young girlfriends and they had to ask permission to do even the most menial of things. He also claimed they were forbidden from leaving certain rooms in his Chicago mansion.

“If they’re not where they’re supposed to be, you’d have to tell Rob or a manager,” Navarro added. “They weren’t supposed to be wandering around, they weren’t supposed to leave the room.”

Navarro alleged he was not allowed to speak to any of the girls he referred to as looking “really young” and was ordered to enforce the house rules. “We were instructed not to talk to any of the females,” he said. “Sometimes they would get envelopes of money when leaving.”

The ex-employee — who claimed he also worked for superstars Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, and Kanye West — alleged R. Kelly’s entourage would hand out the singer’s telephone number to girls in the audience at his concerts or at malls and restaurants.

Navarro worked with the “I’m a Flirt” singer during the time period he stands accused of sexually assaulting then-16-year-old, Jerhonda Pace, when he was 42.

The disgraced singer faces one racketeering count and eight counts of violating the Mann Act, which prohibits transporting people across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.
