Richard Gere was surrounded by love as he celebrated his 77th birthday with his family.
The Pretty Woman star marked the milestone on Monday, August 31, alongside wife Alejandra Silva, 43, and their young son, with Silva giving fans a rare glimpse inside the intimate celebration on Instagram.
'I Love You, We Love You'
Alejandra Silva gave fans a rare glimpse of son James as the family celebrated Richard Gere's 77th birthday together.
Silva shared a series of sweet photos one day after her husband's birthday, including a snap of the couple embracing while wearing party hats.
"No one I rather spend my life with, happy birthday, I love you, we love you," she captioned the September 1 post.
Another photo captured their 6-year-old son James joining his parents for a group hug, while a final image showed Silva relaxing outside alongside the family's two dogs.
Gere returned the affection by reposting his wife's tribute to his Instagram Stories, adding a jazz rendition of "Happy Birthday" and writing, "I love you."

Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva share two sons, Alexander and James, and each has a son from a previous relationship.
Gere and Silva are parents to sons Alexander, 7, and James, 6.
The Hollywood icon also shares 26-year-old son Homer with ex-wife Carey Lowell, while Silva has 13-year-old son Albert from a previous marriage.
Gere and Silva first met through family friends years before reconnecting romantically in 2014. They tied the knot in 2018.

Alejandra Silva previously called her husband the 'rock' of their family and the center of their 'little universe.'
This isn't the first time Silva has publicly celebrated her husband with a heartfelt birthday message.
When Gere turned 76 in 2025, Silva reflected on the changes and challenges their family had experienced over the previous year, praising her husband for remaining a consistent presence.
She called Gere their family's "rock" and praised the patience, strength and love he brings to their home.
"You are everything to us," she wrote at the time, adding that he was the "center of our little universe."
Richard Gere and His Family Moved to Spain
Richard Gere relocated to Spain with his family in 2024 after spending years living with Alejandra Silva in the United States.
Gere and Silva began a major new chapter together when they relocated their family to Spain in 2024.
The move allowed Silva, who is Spanish, to be closer to her family, friends and culture after spending years living with Gere in the United States.
"She was very generous in giving me six years living in my world, so I think it's fair that I give her at least six others living in hers," Gere previously explained of their decision.
The Runaway Bride star also said he was excited for his children to experience life in another country rather than simply visiting.
The Couple Still Plans to Spend Time in the U.S.
Richard Gere has said the family's move gives his young sons the opportunity to experience life in their mother's home country.
Despite settling in Spain, the couple isn't saying goodbye to the United States permanently.
Silva revealed in 2025 that the family planned to divide its time between the two countries.
"For a few years [we'll live in Spain], and then come back. But we're always coming back," she explained.
Silva said they planned to return to the U.S. during the summers while their children attended camp, adding that the family simply needed to find the right "balance" between their lives in both countries.
For now, however, the family appears to be enjoying their life abroad — including celebrating Gere's latest milestone together.
