No love lost!
Kenney stated Rossum’s absence “was weird at first for sure,” but noted the “set became more of a positive place” after she was gone.
The 35-year-old actress announced she was walking away from Shameless after eight seasons in an emotional message via Facebook on August, 30, 2018.
“Try not to think of me as gone, just think of me as moving down the block,” Rossum wrote, while also thanking the cast and crew for being “a gift” over the years.
Despite their prickly relationship, Kenney said she still had “a lot of love for Emmy” but noted the two “haven’t spoken in years.”
“But that’s OK. Hope she finds her happiness,” the 22-year-old declared. “I heard she had a baby and that’s beautiful. I’m sure she’s going to be a lovely mother.”
The Phantom of the Opera actress welcomed her first child with hubby Sam Esmail earlier this year. “On a sunny Monday morning, at 8:13AM, we welcomed our daughter into the world,” Rossum announced via Instagram on Tuesday, May 25. In the first photo, the brunette babe displayed her baby bump, and in the second, she was joined by Esmail as he cradled her belly. The last photo then shows what appears to be their daughter's footprint.
The Mr. Robot creator popped the question in 2015 and the lovebirds walked down the aisle two years later.
