'I Feel Like I Missed My Opening': Taye Diggs Reveals He Almost Hooked Up With Pop Princess Britney Spears On Set Of 'Boys' Music Video
He could have hooked up with who?!
Taye Diggs reminisced about his missed opportunity for a shocking celebrity hook-up during his special guest appearance on Andy Cohen Live.
The multi-talented actor and singer was on the show to promote his new CW series, All American, but things took a surprisingly steamy turn when host Andy Cohen got right into the nitty-gritty, and turned the conversation to Diggs' personal preferences in regards to his sex life.
When asked whether he would rather "make love" in the morning or at night, ET Canada reports Diggs candidly responded, "Nighttime, just because I’m not worried about morning breath or crusties and you know, yeah." The star added, "I’m less self-conscious I think, you know what I mean?"
Fans know Diggs for his many roles from the hit musical Rent to the FOX series Empire, but Cohen also made sure to ask him about his lesser known work with a certain pop star.
In 2002, Diggs appeared in a Britney Spears music video for her single "Boys", featuring Pharrell Williams. Other famous names in the video include Justin Long, DJ Qualls, Jason Priestley, Mike Myers, and Justin Bruening.

When asked about the shoot, Diggs recalled a compliment that the superstar gave him on set. "I feel like I had an in because we were in between shots and [Spears] said, 'Hey, you’re a good dancer.' And I was so kind of starstruck."
Though Diggs said that he simply responded a friendly 'thank you' to Spears, he went on to admit, "I feel like that was kind of my in if I wanted to, to, uh, to do a little something and I missed it. I feel like I missed my opening."
Diggs' confession comes amidst the continuing drama of Spears' conservatorship battle.
As OK! previously reported, Britney, 39, "has hired a team of pros to help her with everything from her posture to speech to anger management," an insider tells OK!. "She wants to be prepared for whatever might come up."
An L.A. judge recently granted a request by the singer — who's seeking to have her father, Jamie, removed from the court-ordered conservatorship that's given him control of her estate and finances in the wake of her 2007 meltdown — to speak at a June 23 hearing.
