'Real Housewives Of Dallas' Not Returning For Season 6 Next Year Following Several Racially-Insensitive Incidents
It's over for The Real Housewives of Dallas — or at least for now.
Bravo confirmed on Tuesday, August 17, that the reality series has not been renewed for a sixth season following the controversial end to season five.
“There are currently no plans to bring ‘The Real Housewives of Dallas’ back next year, and beyond that nothing official has been decided,” a spokesperson told Page Six.
Season five of the Texas-based installment of the “Housewives” franchise finished up earlier this year with several cast members coming under fire over racially-insensitive incidents. In May. Bravo network released a statement to defend new cast member Tiffany Moon, who is Asian.
“Bravo strongly supports the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community,” Bravo's statement read on Twitter at the time. “Anti-Racism is, in fact, not a form of racism and the network stands by Dr. Tiffany Moon and her advocacy against racism and violence."
New housewife Moon, 36, was previously attacked by co-star Kameron Westcott’s husband, Court Westcott, and brother-in-law, Chart Westcott, for being “anti-racist.”

Westcott's husband stated on his since-deleted Twitter account: “’Anti-racism’ is racism." He insisted, "It discriminates by the color of ones skin," pointing out that "They tried that once in Germany, it did not work out well. I don’t understand how many of your patients would be comfortable with you treating them with your open vile racism [sic]."
Moon seemed ready to cut ties with RHOD in May, as she took to Instagram and wrote: “Previous Cast Member #RHOD S5″ on her Instagram bio for a brief period of time. Hours later, the brunette beauty changed it back to read “Cast member #RHOD @BravoTV."
Meanwhile, season one veteran Brandi Redmond also faced backlash earlier last year for seemingly making fun of Asian people in a video that resurfaced online. The mother-of-four apologized for her actions; however, after rumors that her husband Bryan Redmond cheated on her made headlines, Redmond appeared ready to part ways with the beloved franchise.
However, an insider told the outlet in February that "she is contemplating leaving" but "nothing has been confirmed."
Aside from Moon, Westcott and Redmond, Stephanie Hollman, D’Andra Simmons and Kary Brittingham also starred in season five of the reality show.
