It seems Khloé Kardashian and Thompson are unlikely to get back together after the Sacramento Kings player confirmed he was the father of Maralee Nichols' son, Theo Thompson. In light of the paternity test results earlier this week, the 30-year-old issued a public apology to the reality star and told her she does not deserve, "the heartache and humiliation I have caused."

Thompson and Nichols allegedly hooked up in March while celebrating his 30th birthday, but he was reportedly still dating the Good American cofounder at the time.

An insider told Us Weekly that Thompson wants to patch things up with the mother of his 3-year-old daughter, True, but alleged Kardashian is done with the womanizer for good. "He wants to win her back, but she will never take him back romantically after learning about his cheating," the source spilled, "This was the final straw."

The insider added that Kardashian is "staying strong" for her daughter, noting: "Her family and best friends are really her biggest support system."

Meanwhile, an insider told In Touch Weekly that Kardashian and Thompson have only had "short and limited" conversations about their daughter after he confirmed he was Nichols' baby daddy. "Tristan can’t stop apologizing, but the trust is broken, their relationship is broken," the source maintained. "The days of taking True on family outings together are over."

Kardashian has not commented directly on the paternity scandal, but in December, she admitted to fans on Twitter that she was "barely in my own body right now."

She's also no stranger to sharing cryptic quotes on social media. Last week, the 37-year-old posted a quote on her Instagram Story about people showing her who they really were in 2021.

A second quote shared to Kardashian's social media read: "there's going to be very painful moments in your life that will change your entire world in a matter of minutes. These moments will change YOU. Let them make you stronger, smarter, and kinder. But don't you go and become someone that your not. Cry. Scream if you have to. Then you straighten out that crown and keep it moving."

Meanwhile, it seems Nichols also didn't accept Thompson's apology after he noted in his statement that he was looking forward to "amicably" raising their son. As OK! reported, Thompson maintained in court documents that he didn't want to be a part of the baby's life if he was proven to be the father.

"There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichols’ baby," the new mama's publicist said in response to Thompson's statement. "Tristan made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements."
