'Vanderpump Rules' Star Lala Kent's Baby Daddy Randall Emmett Sued For Unpaid Rent
As reports continue to swirl that Lala Kent and Randall Emmett have hit a rough patch, the movie producer is facing serious legal issues.
In court docs obtained by Radar, the 50-year-old — along with his film company, Randall Emmett/George Furla Productions — has been slapped with a lawsuit by the company’s landlord, 8200 Cardinal Associates.
The suit was filed on Friday, October 1 and accused the defendants of breach of lease. The landlord claims Emmett and his company signed a lease for office space in Beverly Hills in 2017.
The Wash Me in the River producer took over a portion of the third floor and agreed to pay $17,000 a month in rent. The landlord now alleged Emmett and his company have not made rent payments and ditched the office space in March 2021 without notice.
8200 Cardinal Associates claim they are owed $281,000 in back rent and other fees. The suit states the original lease wasn’t set to expire until June 30, 2021. They are seeking an additional $55,000 for April, May and June’s rent even though Emmett had already moved out of the space.
The suit is seeking in excess of $336,000 in damages plus the cost of attorney fees. The landlord made shocking claims in the court docs, alleging Emmett and his production company are a mere “shell” and they use the income for their own personal gain.
