Everything We Know About Dwyane Wade's Second Baby Mama, Aja Metoyer
Aja Metoyer first made headlines back in 2013 when it was revealed that she was having Dwyane Wade's baby amid his split from his now-wife, Gabrielle Union.
The brunette babe's name began circulating once again after Union detailed the heartbreak she endured when she found out the athlete fathered a child with another woman in her new book, You Got Anything Stronger?.
Despite the fact that the retired Miami Heat player didn't technically cheat on the actress, Union candidly revealed the scandal destroyed her.
“To say I was devastated is to pick a word on a low shelf for convenience," the Bring It On star wrote in her recently released book. “The experience of Dwyane having a baby so easily — while I was unable to — left my soul not just broken into pieces, but shattered into fine dust scattering in the wind,” the 48-year-old, who suffered "more miscarriages than [she] could confidently count," explained.
Luckily, the power couple managed to work through the rough patch and tied the knot one year after the scandal, as the two were at a good place when Wade broke the baby news to the L.A.'s Finest star. Wade and Union went on to welcome their daughter, Kaavia, via surrogacy in 2018. Wade also shares 19-year-old Zaire Blessing and 14-year-old Zaya with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches.
As for Metoyer — who gave birth to her and Wade's child, now-7-year-old son Xavier, in 2013 — she appears to be busy with her own life and business endeavors, but hinted she's been going through a rough time ever since Union debuted her book earlier this month.
On Thursday, September 16, Metoyer took to her Instagram Story to share a cryptic message that read: “I won’t say life is beating my ass right now… but the bi**h got hands." She then added a follow-up post about checking your partner's phone to see if they are “cheating” and you “find screenshots of u cheating.”

Metoyer Is A Mother Of Three
Prior to Metoyer's child with Wade, she welcomed two children with her ex and childhood sweetheart Damon Wayans, Jr. — whom she called her "first love." The two are no longer an item, but she previously explained to OK!: "My brother and his sister got married and had a kid. We're family forever, we share a niece. I'm super cool with his wife, his wife is super cool with me."
She Insists She's Not A Homewrecker
While Union has forgiven her hubby, Metoyer has been labeled a "homewrecker" because of the messy timeline. The mother-of-three has since addressed the untrue label, while insisting she never wanted to destroy Wade and Union's relationship.
"I've never been a mistress, side chick, any of those things," she exclusively told OK! in 2018 before joking: "I'm not a homewrecker... I wish I was a little Jezebel, you know? It might have worked out for me better that way."
Metoyer Lives In Los Angeles
The TV personality was reportedly born on July 24, 1983, in Los Angeles — where she currently resides — to mom Cynthia and dad Donald Metoyer. In addition to sisters Melissa and Cristen, Metoyer has a brother named Derek.
