Gil and Kelly Jo Bates have 19 kids, aged 2 to 25, some of which who are married and have kids of their own!
As we already said, they also have a TV show focusing on their family life, which is quite similar to the 19 Kids And Counting way of life. The children are allowed limited television time, must help out with chores and the girls strictly wear dresses—just like the Duggar family rules! The Bates have a website and blog, too!
The Bates have a huge home in Tennessee and live a simple, conservative lifestyle. Gil owns a tree service, which his sons help with.
Just like the Duggar family! Jim Bob is also an entrepreneur and has some ties to real estate.
