Long before she was the star of Trainwreck and an author, Amy Schumer’s life was not so glamorous. Click through to see photos of the comedienne before she was famous.
In 2007, Amy won fourth place on Last Comic Standing, and secured a path to stardom.
“Amy can’t believe what’s happened to her over the past year or so,” a friend told OK! Magazine. “She couldn’t have imagined this kind of success in her wildest dreams.”
After her father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when she was 12 years old, Amy and her family relocated to Long Island, where her parents eventually split.
“It was Hunger Games,” she has described this time. “I was like, ‘I’ll take it from here.’ I tried to make everything okay by making everyone laugh about how horrible things were. It kept us alive.”
