Following the Jan. 7 premiere episode of Growing Up Hip Hop, fans of the show are already buzzing about the possible feud between Kristinia DeBarge and her GUHH castmate Angela Simmons. And during a recent chat with OKMagazine.com, DeBarge exclusively offered her take on the rumored tension between the two ladies!
The trouble between DeBarge and Simmons was first hinted at in a teaser video for the series ahead of its Season 1 debut. In a few clips, the girls appear to possibly be battling over their castmate Romeo Miller — who Simmons has previously been linked to!
But while speaking to OKMagazine.com, the singer-actress said there is definitely more to the situation than fans may be able to initially see!
“A lot of people have told me that I’m too nice and sometimes it comes off as flirtatious, so maybe that is what happened that people are seeing on the episode,” she said.

She added that fans should be more worried about Simmons and Miller’s problems since there is “absolutely nothing going on between” herself and Miller!
“Don’t think anything is going on between us,” she said with a laugh. “Worry more about Angela and Rome and what’s going on between them.”
