Carrie Underwood has remained pretty low-key since giving birth to her first child back in February. But she is definitely working on her fitness, and has lost about 25 pounds so far. She only has 7 to go until she has her pre-baby body back—find out how she did it!
The country music singer is “very motivated,” her personal trainer Erin Oprea tells OK! Magazine exclusively. “She’s dedicated to being healthy.”
And losing nearly 30 pounds in three months is no joke! So how did Carrie do it? All she needed was a healthy diet, a reasonable workout plan, and a realistic goal.
A typical meal plan for Carrie includes either oatmeal or a tofu-veggie scramble for breakfast, and kale salad, roasted veggies or strips of zucchini “pasta” for dinner.

But a diet is meaningless without a consistent exercise regimen. Erin encourages new mothers to take about six weeks off from exercising after giving birth.

She noted that she and Carrie “started with some lunges and squats, and then slowly began doing exercises to work the core muscles, like planks…You start with very basic exercises, and you listen to your body” Erin said.
