Fans of The Voice know there was quite the behind-the-scenes feud since Gwen Stefani replaced Christina Aguilera as judge, but now, Blake Shelton may be caught in the middle!
During an interview with Extra, Shelton, 39, said he hopes that Stefani, 46, could stay on the show after season 9 wraps. But he went an extra step further and said he wants to make a spot for her full-time!
"I don't want Gwen to not be on the show, why can't we have a fifth coach?" Shelton said.
OK! Magazine reported for the first time last year that Aguilera, 34, and Stefani were having a diva standoff since Gwen replaced Christina during her maternity leave.

“Christina is extremely threatened by her temporary replacement Gwen Stefani,” an insider told OK! in September 2014. “She knows that if the ratings are higher on Gwen’s season than they were on hers, the producers may have no choice but to ask Gwen to stay on.”

But the turf war has only gotten worse since Stefani and Shelton started hooking up following their divorces this summer.
