Serena Williams and ex-boyfriend Common (aka Lonnie Rashid Lynn) reunited onstage for an in-depth and personal conversation as part of a Creative Minds Talks event. The athlete and the rapper talked about everything from parenthood — Serena gave birth to her daughter Olympia last September — to their activism. Read on for more details.

The tennis star and Grammy-winner sat down together at the Civic Opera House in Chicago for "Creative Minds Talks Presents a Conversation Between Athlete, Entrepreneur, And Philanthropist, Serena Williams And Award-Winning Artist, Actor, And Activist Common."

The hour-long event was part of a conversation series, “The Art of Storytelling" and all of the proceeds from the benefit went to Common's charity Common Ground Foundation and Serena's Yetunde Price Resource Center.

After breaking up in 2010, Serena and Common were rumored to be dating again in 2016. But they've both since moved on.
