Emma Stone is finding that it’s harder to get over her ex Andrew Garfield than she thought. The La La Land star has a new romance going on with Saturday Night Live writer Dave McCary, but insiders have told OK! exclusively that she is getting quickly bored with him and wants that fire and intensity that she had with her old flame. Although they broke up officially back in 2015, Emma and Andrew are still friendly with one another and have been spotted hanging together, most recently in August.
Her relationship with Dave is still fairly new, as Page Six revealed that they began dating back in October of this year.
Her boredom is already starting with Dave only two months into the relationship, according to an insider. “He’s a sweet guy and he’s taken her mind off Andrew, but there’s not a major spark there and she’s finding it hard to feel turned on by him.”
However, she is hopeful for something to come together between them as she continues to date Dave. "Emma’s hoping something will click and things will change because he’s a lovely person,” the insider revealed.

It seems as if people around Emma weren’t too fond of Andrew, but he had a special something that kept her wanting more.
"Everyone thought Andrew was this snobby nerd but the reality was that he had a real fire that really drew Emma to him," the insider continues, "Whereas this guy Dave is totally mellow and lets her boss him around.”
What can Dave do to keep Emma’s attention moving forward? "She needs a bit of confrontation to stay interested,” the insider concluded.
