Gwyneth Paltrow never goes out of style! 

The Oscar winner and style icon turns 48 on Sunday, September 27. In addition to founding her lifestyle brand Goop and her own clothing line, G. Label, the Shakespeare in Love star has been a fashionable fixture on the red carpet for more than two decades 

Whether she’s suited up in Tom Ford or looking like a princess in a pink Ralph Lauren ballgown, the A-List actress brings her own sense of chicness and sophistication wherever she goes.

And it’s clear she’s already passing her style legacy on to her look-alike daughter Apple, whom she shares with her ex husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. During a Zoom interview with PEOPLE, the actress described her 16-year-old as a “beauty queen” and admitted “she is glamorous in a way that I’m not.”

“She loves to play in my closet,” she said. “I have saved everything for her since 15 years before I had her. I save everything. Not everything, but every red carpet look I have saved for her.”

“I still love the dress itself but I should have worn a bra and I should have just had simple beachy hair and less makeup,” she admitted in a Goop Q&A back in 2013. "Then, it would have worked as I wanted it to – a little bit of punk at the Oscars."
