The actress was born in Houston, Texas to an English teacher and a chemical engineer.
By the age of four, Jennifer moved to West Virginia, where she remained until her college years.
It was not until 2001 when Jennifer landed a role on Alias that she had her television breakthrough, but it is clear that she was always talented and meant to be a star!
And while Jennifer had to wear some pretty sexy costumes on the television show, Jennifer was actually quite sheltered during her upbringing, and even waited until her mid-teens until she got her ears pierced!

Jennifer headed to Denison University in Ohio after graduating from high school in 1990. And it turns out she's pretty smart.
The star was initiated into the sorority Pi Beta Phi! And believe it or not, Jennifer did not even plan on becoming an actress.
Back in 2003, she said in an interview, "I wanted to be a doctor, a librarian. ... (Acting) wasn't possible to me."
"The more I learned what there was to learn about this field, the more hungry I became for it. It comes out of wanting to learn more, as opposed to 'I want to be a star.' I never felt that way."
Well we are sure fans are pretty happy she followed through with acting!
