“It happened while they were in Germany, promoting the movie having a heart-to-heart in Liam’s hotel room,” the insider told OK!
The source said: “They decided then and there that they wanted to be together.”
According to the insider, there “has always been a connection” between the co-stars, but have never gotten together due to bad timing. Jen was dating Nicholas Hoult, who she met working on X-Men: First Class, and most recently Chris Martin. Liam was engaged to Miley Cyrus who he met while filming 2010’s The Last Song.

And since both separated from their exes, they’ve been helping each other get through the tough times. Liam has already admitted that JLaw helped him get over Miley, but there’s another side of the story!
“Jennifer was overwhelmed by all the publicity surrounding her split from Chris Martin and her nude photo scandal, and he was more than happy to listen to her vent,” the insider told OK!
