Does Josiah Duggar’s new girlfriend, Lauren Swanson, have his family’s approval?
The 21-year-old’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, have finally spoken out about their son’s courtship and it seems Lauren, 18, has gotten the stamp of approval from the Duggars.
“We are so excited for Josiah & Lauren to start a courtship,” the couple wrote on their family’s blog.
“Lauren is a precious young lady who has a heart to use her life to serve Jesus. Josiah has matured into a good businessman and a leader with a spiritual focus,” they continued. “Josiah and Lauren make a great ministry team and sweet couple.”

As OK! readers’ know, Josiah and Lauren announced they had entered into a courtship earlier this month.
"We are overjoyed to begin this new phase of our lives together. Through the years our families’ friendship has allowed us to get to know one another as friends. I can definitely say I have found a great friend … even better than I could have hoped for or imagined,” Josiah told People following the couple’s announcement.
