John-David and his bride-to-be are getting married on November 3, 2018.
According to the wedding invite, obtained exclusively by the Duggar Family News Facebook page, John-David and Abbie are getting married in her native Oklahoma. This will be the first Duggar wedding to not happen in the family’s home state of Arkansas.
Unlike other Duggar weddings, the event is RSVP-only. Typically, a Duggar wedding draws upwards of one thousand guests, but it looks like John-David and Abbie are keeping a close watch on their guest list.

Plus, an insider told Duggar Family News that the reception is going to be “quite different” from previous Duggar weddings. Some fans have guessed this could mean the couple is getting married in an actual reception hall — or maybe even an airplane hangar, since John, a pilot, proposed to Abbie in one.
The couple has registered at Amazon and Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and their requested items already have fans raising their eyebrows! The couple has registered for a $130 rose gold trash can, along with the accompanying $23 box of trash liners.
John David and Abbie announced their courtship in June. The two were engaged by July, and have been bending Duggar courtship rules ever since, eschewing side hugs for frontal hugs and even reportedly going on unchaperoned dates!
