Joy-Anna Duggar is a married woman! Just three months after her fiancé Austin Forsyth proposed, the 19 Kids and Counting star married her childhood friend on Friday, May 26, in front of family and friends. “We feel so happy and so excited,” the new couple told People magazine exclusively. Despite their short engagement, Joy-Anna and Austin have actually known each other their whole lives! The pair first met 15 years ago, and finally entered into a courtship in November of last year. “Leading up, it was so surreal until I was walking down the aisle and then I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s actually here,’” Joy-Anna shared.
The bride wore a lace dress with conservative elbow-length sleeves, while her now-husband wore a navy blue suit. Her bouquet was filled with white and orange flowers. Joy-Anna kept her long brown hair down and loose for the big day and finished off her look with a gorgeous lace veil.
As for their next step, Joy-Anna said, “We are going to be travelling for our honeymoon for a while.” “A lifetime,” Austin added.
OK! first predicted the couple’s weekend wedding plans earlier this week, when the couple obtained their marriage license!
In the months leading up to their big day, Joy-Anna revealed she and Austin had “gotten to experience so much already in our relationship,” like, “lots of church ministries, road trips, hiking, hunting and remodeling houses together.”
