Lawyer-To-Be Kim Kardashian Slammed For Supporting Death Row Inmate's Release
Kim Kardashian has been working hard to advocate for prison reform and recently voiced her support for convicted murderer Kevin Cooper. But her efforts to fight for his clemency has come under fire and has caused massive controversy.
Kevin, 61, was accused of killing his neighbors, Doug and Peggy Ryen, their daughter, Jessica, and their 11-year-old friend Christopher Hughes in Chino Hills, California, in 1983. He has always declared his innocence.
Kim, 38, met with him at San Quentin State Prison last week, and has been trying to persuade California governor Gavin Newsome to look into more DNA examination in the case.
But Mary Ann Hughes, the mother of Christopher, has since criticized the reality star for her stance and her work to exonerate him.
According to reports, Mary said, "It makes me feel sick to my stomach and I pity her. For what she’s doing to us, there’s nothing to justify what she’s doing to us, the immense pain she is causing us."

"If she actually sat down and read the transcripts of all the trials and appeals, she would be sick to her stomach to be in the same room with him," she continued. "He’s 100 percent guilty and the evidence shows it."
Since the KKW Beauty mogul decided to enter the field of law, she has been studying hard to become a lawyer like her late father, Robert Kardashian.
