Kim Kardashian welcomed baby Psalm via surrogate on May 10. The delivery was high risk because Psalm was breech. In the October 13 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim’s surrogate has to be induced after a “painful” procedure in an attempt to move the baby’s head downward.

Kim’s fourth baby was born four days after her big appearance at the Met Gala, but she feared Psalm was going to be born early. “This time right now is so crazy hectic for me,” she said in a confessional. “Studying law and the baby coming soon and I have the Met Ball this week. It’s all really overwhelming, I wish I had more time.“

The mom-of-four also learned that Psalm was still breech when she attended a doctor’s appointment with her surrogate before the Met Gala. “He keeps turning and then will be sideways,” she revealed. “It’s pretty dangerous to deliver breech, so they might need an aversion.”

Kim, 38, described the “painful” procedure from her experience carrying Saint. “An aversion is just where they kind of push on the baby and try to turn him manually from the outside of the belly,” she told cameras. “I hope she doesn’t have to do it, because it’s a really scary feeling. My anxiety is through the roof.”

Kim returned to Los Angeles the day after Met Gala and received a call from her doctor informing her that Psalm still hadn’t moved. The doctor revealed they were going to flip the baby and immediately induce Kim’s surrogate. “We have to be careful because the baby could flip back while she’s in labor.”
