Kim Richards continued to bring the drama even though The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cameras stopped rolling, as the reality star was arrested on April 16 for public intoxication. Click through to get the scoop on where the arrest went down, what forced police to take her into custody and more.
The Bravo star was arrested at the Polo Lounge in The Beverly Hills Hotel for “displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior, cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest,” a statement from the Beverly Hills Police Department read.
RadarOnline.com reported that the reality star drank vodka tonics all night. “At some point after midnight, the bartender decided that Kim had enough to drink, and refused to serve her,” a source told the website.
After becoming “very, very angry,” Kim eventually “locked herself in a bathroom and was refusing to come out.” Police were then called and arrived to the hotel at 1:30 a.m.
But the drama didn’t end there. Once at the station, Richards reportedly kicked a police officer.
The RHOBH star was released at 10:36 a.m. on Thursday and was issued a citation. She was charged with public intoxication, resisting an officer and battery on an officer, and trespassing.
Kim is scheduled to appear in court on May 10.
Only hours after being released, the reality star stepped out of her home for the first time since the arrest. Maintaining her sobriety has been a long struggle for Kim, who entered rehab in 2011.
