“Día de los Muertos is a tradition not a costume, bye,” one user wrote. Another added, “Very disrespectful, but that's their expertise. You know what’s real cute? You guys actually supporting this bullsh*t.” A third noted, “Culture is not should not be a costume on Halloween. Period.”

Día de los Muertos, which translates to Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico. The holiday extends over the first two days of November and has nothing to do with Halloween.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that someone in the Kardashian clan has received backlash regarding an outfit choice. After a photo of Kim Kardashiandressed as a Spice Girl in the 90s surfaced on the internet, fans weren’t too pleased with the KKW Beauty creator, 39, and pointed out that she shouldn’t be portraying Posh Spice.

As for other members in the family, Kylie Jenner went as Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Kim went as Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, Khloe Kardashian’s daughter True Thompson wore an adorable Oompa Loompa costume.

Despite the negative comments, Kris appears to be keeping her spirits up. In an upcoming episode of Keeping With The Kardashians, Kris dined with an old friend, Faye Resnick, as they both reflected on the passing of their friend, Nicole Brown Simpson.

“I feel like it was just meant to be that this is where we are to celebrate her life,” the momager said in the clip. “I think I’ve realized that I’ve latched on to the legal side of stuff, rather than deal with the emotional side of myself that just misses my girlfriend.”
