La La and Carmelo Anthony's marriage is "strained" after he was recently photographed sunbathing on a yacht with a mystery woman. The athlete denied the cheating allegations in a video he posted to Instagram, but his actress wife hinted at trouble in their relationship with her own social media post.
"Things between La La and Carmelo are strained. It has been difficult for La La to move past the infidelities, the child out of wedlock … Those actions rocked La La to her core," a source dished to Us Weekly.
La La, 36, and Carmelo, 35, separated in April 2017 after he reportedly fathered a daughter with a woman named Mia Burkes. They worked through their issues and reconciled in December 2018. The pair share son Kiyan, 12.
Carmelo vehemently denied being unfaithful with the unidentified woman in the photograph.
"I’m going to address this one time and one time only, and I’m really only addressing it for my family,” he said in the Instagram video. “Keep my family out this, man. I’m over here trying to do my business retreat, I’m over here trying to have a good time, I’m on a boat with some friends.”

He continued, "The woman in the picture is married, man. She don’t got anything to do with anything. Y’all exposing somebody’s wife, y’all exposing somebody’s kids, all of that. Come on. Leave that alone, man, that ain’t cool! Now I got to deal with that. I got to deal with that with my son, I got to deal with that with my wife. That ain’t cool, man.”
On Thursday, June 27, his Power actress spouse hinted at heartbreak by posting an Instagram photo of a bleeding heart before deleting it shortly after.
"La La is seeking therapy on her own to work through her trust issues. She is going to gain a better understanding of her own feelings and what is realistically possible for their family as they move forward. The most recent accusations against Carmelo — the optics aren’t great. He’s sticking to his story … but at this point, the couple’s issues are not fixable," the insider revealed.
