Leah Messer Admits To Losing Full Custody Of Twins, Accuses Ex-Husband Corey Simms Of Wanting Custody To Pay Less Child Support

Leah Messer isn’t letting Corey Simms take full custody of their twin daughters without a fight! The Teen Mom 2 star opened up about losing custody of Ali and Aleeah, 5, how she plans to win them back and the real reason her ex-husband wanted primary custody.

Corey was granted full custody of the twins on October 7, while Leah only has them on the weekends. “I have done so much to become a better person, it was like a slap in the face at first,” she told Us Weekly. “It hurt me. It made me angry.”

Although Corey’s reasons for wanting full custody of the children have to do with her alleged drug abuse problem and the girls always being late to school, Leah insisted Corey is being selfish. “I think child support has a lot to do with it,” she said, explaining how he was forced to pay $800 a month.

She also accused Corey’s second wife, Miranda Simms, of pressuring her husband to file for full custody. “When him and Miranda first met, that’s when he started the full-custody thing,” she said. “It hasn’t stopped since then.”

The main reason Leah lost custody of her daughters was because she constantly dropped them off late to school. Although the mother of three insisted she dropped off the girls on time in August, the school accused the twins of being late multiple times. “I talked to the superintendent,” she said. “I’m sending them the time-stamped pictures I took to prove the girls were not tardy. They’re going to take them off.”
