OK! Exclusive: Nikki Reed Says She And Ian Somerhalder "Are A Team," Discusses Autism, Her Passions, And More!

The beauty, who recently got engaged to Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder, spoke to OKMagazine.com exclusively about life these days, gushing, “Everything is wonderful.”

And we can see why! To go along with her engagement, Nikki has a gorgeous flower-shaped diamond ring, which she happily showed us. It’s even bigger in real life!

Aside from being in love, Nikki and Ian are also working together! She told OK! that she is currently working on building a production company for the two off them, and revealed it already has “a few projects.”

In addition to her production company with the hot actor, Nikki also shared personal upcoming projects she has in the works, which include a cause close to her heart, a movie, music, and more!

The beauty, who hosted the Lindt auction, spoke about the significance of the event to her. She has a younger brother who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2.

“I have a long-standing relationship with Autism Speaks. I’ve been supporting them for many, many years now. I have a personal connection and so I’m just so thrilled that Lindt wants to encourage this partnership and use their voice and mine-our collective voice to spread awareness. That’s the only way you really create change.”

When asked what she hopes to see Autism Speaks accomplish in the near future, she said: “Autism is still something we know very little about, and I think in 20 years or 30 years we’ll look back and understand that we were just in the baby stages of even knowing what the word “autism” means. So right now it’s a very broad category and I think it’s about really narrowing that down and figuring how to treat every single person with autism as an individual.”

She’s also found a way to mix film with her other passion: animals! In addition to 4 dogs and 3 cats, Nikki also has two horses, which she sometimes shows off in cute Instagram snaps. “I did a film last year called The Sunday Horse which is actually where my horses came from, funny enough.”

The very busy lady also revealed she’s releasing new music and getting behind the camera. “I’m also writing a project that I’m going to direct and although I don’t want to talk about the topic right now, I’ll say it’s a very relevant one and something very meaningful.”
