Kim Kardashian may be more famous than ever but the person who was her pal long before her fame, Paris Hilton, said she’s proud of her former assistant and childhood friend.

“We’ve known each other since we were little girls, we’ve always been friends,” Hilton said in an interview with Yahoo Style. “It’s nice to inspire people. I’m really proud of her and what she’s done.”

Kardashian was famously Hilton’s assistant and closet organizer during Paris’ wild years while on The Simple Life and the duo were often seen out clubbing together.

However, the girls, both 34, had an even more famous feud in 2008 when Paris said that Kim’s butt reminded her of “cottage cheese inside a big trash bag” on a Las Vegas radio show.

And though Kim started to upstage Paris with her own sex tape and reality series since 2007, Hilton was still fuming mad by 2011 during an interview with Good Morning America.

"Do you worry that certain people following in your footsteps like Kim Kardashian are overshadowing you?" the GMA host asked Hilton. "No, not at all," she responded said. But when she was asked if she worries about her “moment having passed,” Hilton stormed off the set.
Their relationship today is much better, though, after hanging out and reminiscing while in Ibiza for Riccardo Tisci's birthday last August.
