Prince Harry Breaks Royal Tradition By Making Prince William His Best Man!

Prince Harry didn’t have to go far to find his best man for his upcoming wedding to Meghan Markle! The newly engaged royal has asked his only brother, Prince William, to do the honors, a source confirmed to Us Weekly. The situation is unusual since in royal weddings, there's usually no such thing as a "best man," Hello magazine reported. But Harry and Meghan have proven they're already not ones for following royal traditions!
“Harry has several close guy friends, but there’s no way he would ask anyone but William to take on the top job,” the insider told Us exclusively.
In the royal family, the groom usually asks for a "supporter" rather than a best man, but it's thought that William asked Harry to be his "best man" when he married Kate Middleton back in 2011.
Kate and Will have both gushed over the couple’s engagement. “William and I are absolutely thrilled. It’s such exciting news,” Kate said while visiting the Foundling Museum last week.

Will visited Helsinski, Finland, last week, where he said he was “very excited and delighted” for Harry and Meghan. “It’s a fantastic process to go through: the engagement and then the buildup to the wedding,” he said. “They’ve got a lot of happy times ahead of them.”
Will won’t be the only one with a special role on the big day. Another source told Us that little Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be in the May 2018 wedding as well. The tots will most likely be a pageboy and a bridesmaid, as they were in aunt Pippa Middleton’s wedding back in May.
The insider said Meghan’s friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney’s daughter will also be included. Meghan hasn’t announced her bridal party just yet, but Lindsay Roth is at the top of the list for maid of honor! Meg was her maid of honor during her wedding last year.
