Rocking high heels on the red carpet is bound to cause sore feet, which is why Shailene Woodley went barefoot in New York City! The dirty streets didn’t stop the actress from daring to bare her feet following the premiere of Insurgent on March 16.

On the red carpet, Shailene took the plunge in a revealing black Ralph Lauren dress that showed off her fit figure. The actress completed the look with minimal makeup and her hair up in a bun.
Although she looked comfortable on the red carpet, she ditched her heels once she went outside! The Divergent star walked through the not-so-clean streets of the Big Apple to her car.

But this isn’t the first time the actress opted for bare feet. In April, Shailene hit Berlin barefoot after the Divergent premiere. She did the same in NYC while heading over to The Fault In Our Stars premiere in June.
The Descendants actress opened up about her dislike for shoes in a 2012 interview with Rachael Ray. “I don’t like shoes ever, and so on the red carpet when I’m done with photos, I’ll take my shoes off and do the rest of the red carpet, where you’re doing face-to-face interviews where they don’t see your whole body, barefoot.”

Shailene’s costar Ansel Elgort recently opened up to Seventeen about his relationship with the actress. “Me and Shailene have a really platonic relationship," he said. "I've never once wanted her sexually, which is nice." Hopefully it has nothing to do with Shailene’s habit of sporting bare feet!
