Peter Weber Falls Ill While Filming ‘The Bachelor’ & Bails Out On Group Date

Peter Weber is off to a rough start with his season of The Bachelor! According to blogger Reality Steve, who typically reports on accurate spoilers from the ABC franchise, the new lead fell ill right before a big group date.
Peter, 28, is known from Hannah Brown’s season for their infamous Fantasy Suite Date where they had sex in a windmill four times. “It's never going to die. That's OK," he joked during an interview with Good Morning America. "I love windmills."
Playing off his windmill reputation, The Bachelor planned a sex-themed group date where the women were supposed to share fun, embarrassing or sexy stories about their hookup past.
“As today's group date audience was set to file into the @AvalonHollywood, they announced that Peter was very sick and the group date was canceled,” Reality Steve tweeted on September 24.
He continued, “The women were there for a couple of hours and had to start writing about a sex topic.”
“But Peter was feeling too sick so they canceled it. Sounds like it was food poisoning,” the blogger suggested.

Luckily for Peter, he can recover at his own home since he is the first Bachelor to live within close proximity to the show's mansion. “You're different from any other Bachelor we've ever had," Chris Harrison told Peter during his announcement as The Bachelor on September 17. "We've never had somebody who lives about five minutes from the Bachelor mansion. You literally grew up in the shadows of that mansion."
Despite the rocky start to Peter’s season, he promised fans, “You're going to get the good, the bad and the ugly…This pilot's got some edge, I'm not going to lie," he said.
Peter was announced as The Bachelor at the end of the Bachelor In Paradise reunion on September 17. The pilot was picked over fan favorites Mike Johnson, Tyler Cameron, and Derek Peter. Both Mike, 31, and Tyler, 26, took themselves out of the running once they sparked romance rumors with A-listers Demi Lovato and Gigi Hadid, respectively.
The new ABC lead reportedly began filming the same week he was announced as The Bachelor and his series is expected to air in January 2020.
