Will Tommy Chong’s Dancing with The Stars Journey Get Cut Short Due To Injury?
Tommy injured his calf during last week’s dress rehearsal and fans are worried he may not pull through this week’s rehearsals—or even the rest of the competition.
But being the responsible competitor he is, Tommy went for an MRI to make sure he’s able to dance before Monday’s performance.
“Making sure my leg is ready for the Quarter Finals tomorrow,” he wrote on Instagram. Turns out, the 76-year-old has a tear in his calf and unless it heals, he will “have to bow out of the competition,” sources said.
But as of Monday afternoon, the show must go on! His partner, Peta Murgatroyd, tweeted: “@tommychong and I can’t wait to dance our VWaltz and trio Samba tonight.”
After injuring his leg last week, Tommy danced through not one but two numbers with partner Peta Murgatroyd. “It’ll heal,” Chong said after the show. “It was me. I was dumb. I didn’t drink enough water, so I got cramps.”
