Arie Luyendyk Jr. Just Admitted To Pulling A Ben Higgins At The End Of His ‘Bachelor’ Journey

Oh, boy!

Prepare yourselves, Bachelor Nation, Arie Ludenyk Jr. just revealed a major bombshell about his upcoming season of The Bachelor, and it can only mean one thing – it’s going to be the most dramatic season ever! (No, but seriously!)

“The journey obviously was a great experience and I did fall in love,” the race car driver told Us Weekly on Thursday. “I actually fell in love with two people.” (Say what, Arie? Say what?!)

He added: “The toughest part about being the Bachelor would probably be the end, making tough decisions toward the end. I mean, that’s the hardest decision of your life, really. It’s a forever decision, so it’s not taken lightly. I think that was probably the hardest thing.”

Emily Maynard’s season 8 Bachelorette runner-up isn't the first Bachelor to fall in love with two women on the show. Season 20's Bachelor, Ben Higgins, actually told both of the women in his final two that he was in love with them, which led to him breaking JoJo Fletcher's heart on the finale episode.

As for Arie though, fans will have to wait and see how his love triangle plays out. However, the 36-year-old did reveal his initial "Bachelor strategy" that unknowingly led him to fall in love with two people.

“I think my game plan was not to lead with chemistry,” he said. “I think in the past I’ve done that before and I think as a man it’s easy to do that. Also for me, I just really tried to envision how that person would fit into my regular life and if I could fit into their life.”

Arie also revealed what he thought of Bachelor fan’s not so warm welcome to the initial news that he was season 22’s Bachelor over season 13 Bachelorette fan-favorite, Peter Kraus.

“I wasn’t what everyone was expecting. I totally realize that and that’s something that I’m fine with,” he admitted. “I’m really grateful for the opportunity to be the Bachelor and I was really nervous and excited that first night. Yeah, I did sort of have to get through that and see if the women there were there for me, but that’s just part of it and I was really thankful that I was in this position.”
