Battling an eating disorder is a hard thing to go through, but these stars pushed through and are open to sharing their struggles. Celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Elton John alike have fought diseases like anorexia, bulimia and body dysmorphia But they all have come back stronger than ever!

Demi Lovato has been open with her fight with anorexia and bulimia. Growing up in the spotlight led her to have issues with her body and she ultimately entered a treatment facility at 18 years old.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards came forward about having an eating disorder in her teens while working as an actress. She revealed she had shrunk to 99 pounds at one point.

The RHOBH star was inspired to come forward after Lisa Rinna’s daughter Amelia Hamlin’s struggle with anorexia was detailed on the show.

Former One Direction member Zayn Malik suffered from an eating disorder. He explained his situation in his book, Zayn. Being a part of the world's most famous boyband, he tended to skip meals due to his hectic schedule.

Elton John battled bulimia and he attempted to overcome it with the help of his friend Princess Diana. The late royal also endured the illness and the two would often compare notes on their struggles.

Lily Collins played an anorexic patient in the Netflix film To The Bone, and she told Refinery 29 that she was attracted to the character because of her own war with the disease.

Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario struggled with perfectionism from a young age. This caused her to battle anorexia and admitted she started "self-harming" when she was a teen.

Miley claimed she experienced body dysmorphia from her time working on her show Hannah Montana. She told Marie Claire that she felt self-conscious about her body as she was forced to dress up like a teenage pop star.
