Mariah Carey was able to make light of a likely annoying situation, when her earpiece fell out as she performed her classic Christmas hits at the Beacon Theatre show in New York City on Monday evening. She joked with the audience about it, as she dazzled in a floor-length red gown.

Once everything was corrected, Mariah went into her famous song "Hero," which undoubtedly brought back memories of her defunct relationship with estranged husband Nick Cannon. She broke down as she sang the lyrics, and had to wipe away tears. Aw, cheer up Mariah!

It has been quite a year for the 45-year-old, as she and Nick dealt with numerous rumors about their crumbling marriage, before it was confirmed that they were heading for a divorce.
