Heidi Klum may just be the busiest mommy in show business. Between hosting duties on Project Runway, a new position on the judging panel of America's Got Talent, modeling gigs and her own business ventures in fashion and beauty, we're amazed that we still spot paparazzi photos of the blonde bombshell enjoying family time with her four kids on the weekends. How does she do it?
"I'm a Gemini," Heidi explains at NBC's Summer Press Day. "So there's two of me, thankfully. So that's how I could do it. Otherwise. I couldn't do it. I think if you love what you do…that's why, for me, this is not work. I really enjoy doing this, and so you just make it work."
Despite already having a busy schedule, Heidi jumped at the change to join America's Got Talent. It was simply an offer she couldn't refuse.
"How can you say no to America's Got Talent?," she asks. "It's such a fun and exciting show to do. I love hosting, of course, and working on Project Runway, and I love fashion. I've been in the fashion industry for 20 years, and I love that. But we only shoot the show for about five weeks in the summertime when my kids go to school. So this fit in perfectly because we are filming right now, and when I'm done with Project Runway, you know, it's still summer holidays, and I fly back and forth from LA to New York."
For those who question Heidi's credentials for judging a talent competition that isn't fashion-related, put your worries to rest, she's got it covered.
"I've been in the entertainment industry now for 20 years," she says. "I've traveled the world. I feel like I've seen things not only in America, but all over the world. I'm very interested in theater and music. Being married to a musician for eight years, I've seen a lot of things. I've judged in fashion or in music, I guess it's part of my personality, too. I want to tell everyone how they are looking and how they should be doing or whatever. I do Germany's Next Top Model where I try to find a beautiful, young girl that has that all-around talent because nowadays you are not just supposed to look pretty, but you have to talk and you have to fit into so many different things. I enjoy it."
The new season of America's Got Talent premieres on NBC on June 4.
