Maura Tierney spent months battling breast cancer and now, in remission, the former ER actress is planning to return to TV.

The 45-year-old will be playing a deputy bureau chief in Manhattan in the new ABC series The Whole Truth, according to EW.

Maura replaced Joely Richardson, who wanted to take a break to focus on her children, for the role of Kathryn Peale.
