Whoopi Goldberg's Mother Suffers "Severe" Stroke

New reports reveals that Whoopi Goldberg has left London early, where she was performing in the West End theater production, after her mother suffered a “severe” stroke.
"Our thoughts and sincere best wishes are with Whoopi at this difficult time," CEO of Stage Entertainment UK Bill Taylor said according to E! Online.

The View co-host had about a week left in the production, which will continue until Oct. 30, temporarily with an understudy.
Whoopi, 54, flew back to the United States this morning to be with her mother, Emma.
The newest season of ABC’s The View will air on Sept. 7.
