Another American Idol alum is returning to the show that started it all – at least via the farewell song for eliminated contestants.
Carrie Underwood, who just recorded Mötley Crüe's "Home Sweet Home" for this season's departing Idol hopefuls, joins a list two other alums of the reality show to contribute the send-off song: Chris Daughtry recorded "Home" and Ruben Studdard contributed "Celebrate Me Home."

"I've always loved this song, and besides being very fitting for Idol, to me, the title is also very fitting with animal rescue and finding animals their own homes," says Carrie. "So we felt it was important to tie the release into an amazing animal charity like The HSUS."
