Babies on the brain? Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, are getting more and more serious. So much so, the couple “have discussed children,” a source told Us Weekly. “She’s very excited about that chapter of her life when the timing is right and comes.”
The couple — who has been together since 2017 — have been quarantining together amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and hopefully, the actor will soon get down on one knee. “They have talked about marriage,” a source previously told the outlet. “They don’t have a set deadline in place, but they’re very much in love.”

The singer, 30, and the U.K. native, 29, have kept their romance out of the spotlight, unlike Swift’s previous relationships. “I … was falling in love with someone who had a wonderfully normal, balanced life,” the Grammy winner said in her Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, which was released in January 2020. “We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private. Even though it was really horrible, I was happy. But I wasn’t happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else’s input. We were just happy.”
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty surprised fans and released her eighth album, Folklore, in July 2020. Of course, fans couldn't help but dissect the easter eggs the ‘Shake It Off’ songstress left in several tunes.
In the song ‘the 1,’ Swift tells a story about a relationship that wasn’t meant to be, which sent fans into a frenzy. As a result, they thought Swift and Alwyn had called it quits.

Swift sings, “We were something, don’t you think so? / Rosé flowing with your chosen family / And it would’ve been sweet / If it could’ve been me / In my defense, I have none / For digging up the grave another time / But it would’ve been fun / If you would’ve been the one.”
However, the Pennsylvania native touched upon her relationship in other tracks, including ‘Cardigan,’ ‘Invisible String,’ and ‘Peace.’
Swifties even suspect that Alwyn helped write some tracks on the singer’s latest album since William Bowery was mentioned in an Instagram post. One fan pointed out that the pair met at the Bowery Hotel in 2016, and Alwyn is the great-grandson of William Alwyn, who was reportedly a music teacher and composer.

For now, it seems like Swift is enjoying writing music and being with her beau. “She’s focused on her career, her album and getting her political views out there and making a difference,” the insider added. “Taylor feels less pressure than she once did because she is very confident at this point in her life.”
“Her family and Joe have continued to be a huge support system for her,” the source added. “She’s very excited about her future.” Who knows? Maybe a ninth album is just around the corner!
