It’s only been a little more than a week since Bachelorette star Becca Kufrin confirmed she split from fiancé Garrett Yrigoyen, but it seems like the 30-year-old is in a good spot these days.

“I am doing surprisingly well,” the reality star said during an Instagram Q&A on Wednesday, September 9. “Life always had its ups and downs, but I do actually talk a little bit about this on next week’s podcast ‘Bachelor Happy Hour,’ so check it out.”

The brunette beauty was initially hesitant to engage with her followers because she didn’t want to be bombarded with a ton of questions about the breakup but was cool and collected throughout the clips.

The rumors swirled over the summer that Kufrin and the 31-year-old California native were over after they weren’t spotted together. In September, the publicist finally cleared the air as to what happened.

“After many conversations, we came to this decision. It wasn’t something that we just arrived at one night,” she said on her “Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “It wasn’t based solely off one Instagram post or somebody else’s opinions or comments. There’s much more to it. To any relationship, there’s a lot of layers, and it’s not for me to divulge details. It’s no one’s business other than what I’m telling you right now.”

The former flames got engaged during her season of The Bachelorette in 2018 and moved to California together. However, the couple got into an argument earlier this year after Yrigoyen supported the cops amid the Black Lives Matter movement. As a result, Kufrin wasn’t sure she could make it work with Yrigoyen.

However, Kufrin expressed that she cherished their time together and had nothing but good things to say about her ex. “Like I said, I still have so much love and compassion in my heart for him,” she explained. “Just because we’ve arrived at this decision now doesn’t take away all of the years and the countless memories that we’ve made together. I will always look back at this time in my life with so much gratitude and love.”

On September 3, the Minnesota native announced she was heading to Los Angeles to start fresh. “Hello Los Angeles,” she captioned a photo of herself wearing a black jumpsuit via Instagram on September 3. “I can’t wait to get to know you once this pandemic totally stops cramping my style! Spoiler: I’m officially an L.A. resident (and according to this picture I still don’t know what to do with my hands).”

“I made the last-minute decision to sign a lease (sight unseen) in an area that I was totally unfamiliar with,” she added. “But I’m here to embrace this new adventure and put down some roots in the City of Angels during this next chapter.”

As for how Kufrin is adjusting to L.A.? “I love it so far,” she said during her Instagram Q&A. “I’m so happy I’m there.”
