After receiving the guidance of Harry Connick Jr. on Tuesday, it was time for one more American Idol contestant to say goodbye, but Ryan Seacrest wouldn’t let that happen so easily.
Before the stressful elimination at the end of the show, the host kept everyone on their toes with a performance by Lady Gaga and Harry himself.
Lady Gaga rocked out in a black, fishnet outfit to her new hit single “Alejandro,” surrounded by shirtless male dancers, while Harry slowed it down a notch with a cover of the Beatle’s “And I Love Her.”
In between performances, the contestant reminisced about what their lives used to be like before American Idol.
“Tuesdays used to be all about changing diapers and learning ABCs,” frontrunner Crystal Bowersox spoke of her child.
“Tuesdays were all about school,” 17-year-old Aaron Kelly gushed.
But at the end of the night, it all came down to the bottom two: Aaron and Michael Lynch.
And, unfortunately, Aaron will have to go back to hitting the books next Tuesday as he did not receive enough votes to send him into the final four.
