Lamar hasn't played in a game since Feb. 20, as he took a leave of absence to spend time with his sick father. Although ESPN.com says it was Lamar's idea to take the step down to the Legends, it's still has got to be a tough blow for an athlete.
Mavericks president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson confirmed that Lamar is in the D-league and said that coach Mark Cuban is trying to create a timeline that will ease him back into play.
