Rob Kardashian has had a tough few years. And while his storyline on Keeping Up With The Kardashians has followed his weight-loss struggles, it looks like he is now finally getting to the root of the problem and has checked into a treatment center—for depression.

Star Magazine was the first to report that Rob, 27, has checked into The Meadows trauma and addiction treatment center in Arizona, where he will remain for about a month. A source close to the situation said that aside from his unhealthy eating habits, his weight gain stems from alcohol, marijuana and prescription cough syrup.

Many who follow the comings and goings of the Kardashian family, both on and off screen, will have noticed that Rob has withdrawn quite a bit from the spotlight. He’s rarely seen out in public with his many sisters and a source recently told Radar Online that he has actually reconnected with sister Khloe Kardashian’s estranged husband Lamar Odom.

Judging from Odom’s alleged drug struggles, it should come as so surprise that Rob is also being treated for substance-abuse issues.

We hope he gets the help he needs and gets his life back on track.

UPDATE: A rep tells E! News that, “Rob in not in rehab” and a source claims he heard the rumors while working out with trainer, Gunnar Peterson. Either way, we’re glad he’s working towards a healthier lifestyle.
