'The Thing That Skyrocketed My Career'

Alix Earle opened up about her acne struggles.
Earle launched her skincare brand in March after dealing with chronic acne for most of her life. The brand boasts that it is “dermatologist-developed” and “clinically proven.”
The star confessed that she first started to connect with audiences when she was open about her own struggles with acne and experiences with various products, including Accutane.
“That was like the thing that skyrocketed my career and got it started,” Earle said in an interview about her brand. “And the first thing that really allowed me to connect with my audience.”

Alix Earle admitted that she wanted to help other girls feel confident.
“It was around middle school that I really started to really struggle with my skin. Never was able to get my skin 100 percent,” she continued, later adding, “There were times where it would be better, times where it would be worse.”
Earle recalled not wanting to go to school or leave the house at all when her skin was breaking out, feeling like she had to “cake on makeup” just to go to the gym.
“I want it to be just kick-starting a wave of girls feeling confident in those imperfections because they’re real,” she concluded of her brand. “Everyone deals with it.”
