Anna Sorokin, the real-life persona behind Netflix's Inventing Anna series, appears to be soaking in all of her newfound fame.
Sorokin, 31, has been making headlines since the limited series dropped last month to retell the true story of her time living as a fake German heiress in New York City. In 2019, Sorokin — who goes by the alias Anna Delvey — was convicted of eight charges, including theft of services, second-degree grand larceny and first-degree attempted grand larceny.
Despite the controversy surrounding her story, Sorokin is basking in the media attention she has been receiving in recent weeks, and she recently took to Instagram to flaunt the latest Saturday Night Live skit about her.
Over the weekend, the NBC comedy show performed a hilarious skit, which featured Chloe Fineman impersonating Sorokin in a spoof entitled Inventing Chloe.
In the episode, which aired on Saturday, March 5, Fineman is seen living a lavish lifestyle by conning others and not providing any form of payment, much like the portrayal in the Inventing Anna series. She even tried replicating Sorokin's infamous accent, which Julia Garner perfected while playing the character of Anna Sorokin in the Netflix show.
Sorokin shared the clip to her Instagram page on Monday, March 7, to celebrate her story making it onto SNL.

"Requested a sketch from @nbcsnl about [my]self on a less than 24 hour notice, here it is!" she shared with her IG followers — which now totals over 840k people.
Despite her actions as a convicted con artist, Sorokin's fans couldn't help but hype her up in the comment section, with one user writing: "When SNL is parodying you, you know you're famous!"
Another person commented: "You are iconic gurl!," while a third admirer wrote: "Anna Delvey is my idol."
A number of other users also commented "Free Anna" under Monday's post, as the fake socialite is currently being detained by ICE as she continues to fight against deportation orders.
As OK! previously reported, Sorokin was originally sentenced to 4-12 years in prison before being released early in February 2021. Just six weeks later, she was taken into custody by ICE for overstaying her visa.
