Bridget Fonda has largely stayed out of the spotlight more than two decades after stepping away from acting.
The In the Gloaming actress, now 62, left Hollywood behind in 2002 after making her final screen appearance in the Hallmark miniseries The Snow Queen. The following year, she married musician and film composer Danny Elfman, and the couple welcomed their son, Oliver, in 2005.

Where Is Bridget Fonda Now?
Bridget Fonda stepped away from Hollywood more than two decades ago.
Fonda now keeps a low profile in the Los Angeles area, where she is only occasionally spotted in public.
As OK! reported, the No Ordinary Baby star was spotted shopping in Los Angeles during one of her most recent outings. She kept things casual in a white T-shirt, a blue button-down shirt, black track pants and gray sneakers. She completed the look with a black handbag and sleek glasses.
Fonda was also spotted out and about in the City of Angels on August 12, when she stepped out for lunch.

Bridget Fonda retired in 2002.
Fonda has not officially returned to acting, despite previous speculation she could make a Hollywood comeback.
In 2023, a photographer asked her if she was interested in acting again, to which she reportedly replied, "No."
"I don't think so, it's too nice being a civilian," said Fonda.
Why Has Bridget Fonda Stayed Out of the Spotlight?
Bridget Fonda had fueled comeback rumors.
While Fonda has never given a detailed explanation of why she chose to retire, she previously spoke candidly about fame and the pressures of being part of the Fonda family.
"I often wonder what it would be like to come into this completely fresh," she told The Guardian in 2000, two years before her retirement. "When I see people from a non-entertainment-industry family who've made it, I'm like, 'Wow, you're here because of your own efforts — the way you're perceived isn't based on someone else's achievements.'"
She added, "I can't allow myself that, because I always factor in nepotism. If no one wanted to watch me, I guess they'd have stopped hiring me a long time ago."
The Jackie Brown actress comes from one of Hollywood's most famous acting families. She is the granddaughter of screen legend Henry Fonda, the niece of actress Jane Fonda and the daughter of actor Peter Fonda and Susan Brewer.
