As Britney Spears is gearing up for her big day in court to finally be able to tell her side of the story in her ongoing conservatorship battle with her father, Jamie, the superstar has been taking a little time with her hunky beau, Sam Asghari, to unwind.
The happy couple — who instantly clicked after they met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016 — recently enjoyed a rare night out together, attending the wedding of Asghari’s pal.
The fitness model shared a series of photos from the event, at which Britney was his plus-one. The “Toxic” singer sported a blue mini-dress with black heels, while Asghari donned a chic black suit with a yellow tie.
The stylish duo were happy to be out of the house and mingling with others after more than a year of being locked away due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. “🦁🦁 about last night #vaccinated #thankyouscience,” the 27-year-old captioned the snaps with his longtime love.
Asghari was then spotted Wednesday, May 5, taking a solo stroll in Maui. It is unclear if Britney is currently with him in Hawaii, as she has to mentally prepare to address the court. After much speculation that Britney will ask the judge to free her of the conservatorship, OK! learned the pop star is actually wanting her father — and his death grip on her finances — out of the picture.
"She has 99% of the freedom she'd have if she weren't in a conservatorship, and the only thing she's prevented from doing are crazy things, like buying 3 cars at a time [something she tried to do back in the day]," a source dished, providing a more in-depth view of how her conservatorship works.

The insider added that Britney has been able to enjoy life in Los Angeles without any real restrictions, and pointed out that she even has the freedom to travel when she wants to — case in point, her wedding excursion with Asghari.
