After nearly five blissful years together, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are still going strong — and it looks like a baby could be in their near future.
Asghari, 27, recently sent tongues wagging when he revealed that he wants to take their romance "to the next step" and "be a young dad" — and Spears "is totally on board," spills a friend.
The pop star, 39, who shares sons Sean, 15 and Jayden, 14, with ex Kevin Federline, "has always wanted another child. Now, with Asghari raring to go, she figures it's the perfect time," shares the pal, noting that growing her family would be "a welcome distraction" from Britney's bitter battle with her father, Jamie, over her controversial conservatorship.

With Spears turning 40 in December, "they know time is of the essence," says the friend. "They're going into this with positive vibes and believe it will happen."
Plus, "Sam is so wonderful and giving with Britney's boys," the pal gushes. "She knows he'll be an amazing father."

The "Toxic" singer has been vocal about wanting out of the conservatorship with her father. As OK! previously reported, Spears is now "dead set on regaining control" of her life and her finances and she'll do whatever it takes.
Inspired by the #FreeBritney movement led by her fans and supported by stars worldwide, the insider added that the hitmaker is refusing to stay silent for any longer and wants people to know that it's her turn to talk.
"After 14 years of silence, she wants revenge," the insider claimed. "She'll describe how her dad has talked down to her and dismisses everything she says. She'll talk all about his temper, how he hovered over her every move and sabotaged every relationship she had."
